Vmware snapshots not consolidating

The cloning proces can take some time depending on the disk size, storage speed, LAN/SAN speed, etc. Run the machine (you will have no space issue as now the disk with snapshot is unattached and not in use). Later on you can remove old drive files (description files and extents).

There is a "consolidate helper-0" snapshot on v Center Snapshot Manager after a backup using AVVI (Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure).

Please contact VMware Support for further assistance on this VMware related issue.

Therefore it’s important to have scripts, reports and tools like Snapwatcher or opvizor Health Analyzer to get an idea about the current situation in your environment.
